IXPP is a radiation-cross-linked, semirigid, closed-cell, long sheet foam. Its lightweight, heat-insulating, shock-absorbing,
highly moldable, and nonwater- absorbency properties make it ideal for a wide range of applications: automobile interior
components, insulation materials for construction uses, all kinds of pipe insulation and anti-condensation materials,
miscellaneous industrial materials, consumer goods, and healthcare and sports products.
Comparing with IXPE, IXPP offers greater heat stability and strength at elevated temperatures than does PE. PP is preferred for today's forming and injection processes, which are used to mold automotive interior panels, including door panels and instrument panels.
